Society and Being-with-Others
In Heidegger's system, each Individual is essentially Being-in-the-World, one dimension of which is Being-with-Others. In contrast, as Marx-Engels' concept of Consciousness connotes, each Individual is essentially Being-with-Others. Accordingly, each Individual can be conceived as a Materialist, window-ed, Leibnizian Monad, distinguished from any Other by its uniqueness of Perspective, and, furthermore, insofar as essentially Practical, door-ed, as well as window-ed, thereby constituting a unique Prospect. Thus, a 'Society' appropriate to Socialism is a totality of the relations between all Beings-with-Others, a complex network, not a mere co-existence of simple Individuals.
