Techne and Dehumanization

Just as skilled conduct transcends merely mechanical behavior, Techne involves mastery of Automation, which is why the commonly conceived equivalence of the latter and Technology is so deeply erroneous.  Now, one variety of dehumanization is mechanical behavior, yet Marxism's attention to the former problem overlooks Techne as a solution to it.  For example, Marx-Engels present co-ownership of the means of production in an industrialized Socialist society as adequate compensation to the self-employed artisan for the loss of the value of their craft, even suggesting that resistance to the compensation is Lumpenproletarian.  Furthermore, Trotsky's promotion of human power over Nature does not entail such power over the Automation that would replace human Labor.  In other words, without an incorporation of Techne into it, Socialism that abolishes Economic exploitation does not suffice to completely eliminate dehumanization.
