Socialism, Chain of Being, Ecology

The repudiation of Geocentricism may have toppled the part of the Great Chain of Being above Humanity, but not the part from there downwards.  The survival of that segment of the heirarchy is best represented in the Teleology of Kant, i. e. the Philosopher most closely associated with Copernicus, in which Humanity is designated as the "ultimate purpose" of Nature.  Likewise, while Trotsky promotes an organic model of human society, his Cosmology remains vertical, with Humanity atop the rest of Nature.  Instead, the appropriate correlate to Socialism is the Ecosystem, in which, likewise, each of the parts, including the Human Species, both contributes and benefits, though any demonstration of the former of which in the case of Humanity has hitherto been lacking.
