Though it does not appear literally as such in Genesis 3, the curse that is upon Adam and Eve, specifically, is usually extended to the entire species.  Nevertheless, the Salvation from it offered by Christianity does not have that scope.  Rather, that Salvation is directed at an element that is not part of the original premise, but seems borrowed from a different tradition--an individual Soul.  Thus, Religion is antithetical to Socialism in a respect other than its Immateriality--the cultivation of Egoism, which, even of a 'higher' sort, hinders the development of Class Consciousness as a dissociative influence.
