Self-Determination and Maturity

While a child is both new and innocent, it is also dependent.  Now, Marxist Socialism is a system of collective self-determination, a product of the labor of its members.  Hence, those members are adults, not children.  Accordingly, while the "Allons" of the Marseillaise also expresses the collectivity of Socialism, the subsequent "enfants de la Patrie" has more in common with 'the children of God' than with the mature members of that collectivity.
